VAT rates across Europe (2025): The EU requires member states to maintain a standard VAT rate of at least 15%. Rates range from 17% (Luxembourg) to 27% (Hungary). The UK maintained its 20% rate post-Brexit. Switzerland uses 8.1% as a non-EU country.
